Young novelist is on her way: Montclair Times Features Pitchapalooza winner

Zoe Schiff, 15, second from right, a 10th-grader at Montclair High School, is still stunned to have presented the winning pitch at Pitchapalooza event at the Montclair Public Library on Feb. 10. Her one-minute description of “Carpe Noctem,” the alternative historical novel she’s writing about the Revolutionary War era wowed the judges, from left, literary agent Liza Dawson, David Henry Sterry, publisher Dominick Anfuso, bestselling author Pamela Redmond Satran, and at right, Arielle Eckstut. Sterry and Eckstut are the authors of the book Zoe is holding and held the pitch competitions on their book tour promoting the book.
